Being a leadership consultant is an amazing experience in itself. Not only do I get to work for an organization that means so much so me, but I also have the opportunity to travel all over this awesome country and meet some equally awesome young women. The fall semester was full of great experiences that I will cherish forever. In this post, I’ll be narrowing down my top five moments as a leadership consultant so far, in no specific order.
1. Formal recruitment at the University of Central Oklahoma – Delta Chi Chapter.
The Delta Chi Chapter absolutely ROCKED formal recruitment this year, and I was so honored to be a part of it! When I watched the women perform their preference ceremony, it brought tears to my eyes. It is so clear that the women at UCO are proud to be a part of our amazing sisterhood!
2. Sigmalympics at Spring Hill College – Lambda Alpha Chapter.
The ladies of Lambda Alpha put on an amazing Olympic-themed philanthropy event this fall called Sigmalympics. Watching the women work so diligently to put on such an awesome event was such a cool experience. The event was a huge success and so much fun!
3. Preparing for formal recruitment at Missouri State University – Delta Upsilon Chapter.
I love recruitment, and through this visit I also learned that I love Missouri State University. This was my first visit as a leadership consultant, and these women made my experience unforgettable! They were so warm and welcoming, and did a great job getting ready for formal recruitment.
4. Seeing Ida Mabel Fuller Pierce’s rings at the University of Kansas – Xi Chapter.
There were so many great moments during this chapter visit, from seeing the beautiful houses on campus, to having some of the best ice cream of my life. However, getting to see some personal items that belonged to one of our sorority’s founders was one of the coolest moments of my life!
5. Formal recruitment at North Carolina State University – Gamma Phi Chapter.
I had the opportunity to prepare for formal recruitment and assist the chapter women during formal recruitment, as well. It was so cool to watch the members put the finishing touches on everything, execute a great formal recruitment, and welcome their new members on Bid Day!
I can’t wait to see what the spring semester has in store for me!
