It’s hard to believe that the SKLCs have been out and about for a month already! For me, it has been a month of recruitment and recruitment preparation on the road before I settle in the city of Boston to work with the Kappa Omega chapter at Northeastern University. This semester has already brought me to new and familiar places. As classes are starting up, I thought it would be fun to break down the month into some basic ABCs.
Airports – a staple in the life of many LCs.
Body language – super important when making a first impression.
Conversation – the most important part of any recruitment round.
Door chants – chapters love to be loud and proud on recruitment days!
Excitement -to see all the hard work pay off.
Friendship – sharing and expanding one of our values.
Good laughs – every skit has its blooper moments!
Happiness – because we are all in this together.
Inspiration – to get through those long days.
Juggling – all there is to do on busy days!
Keurig – no need to elaborate.
Loyalty – a value that can move mountains during a stressful time.
Motivation – just keep swimming, just keep swimming.
Names – the first way to make people feel important – during recruitment or otherwise.
Optimism – keeping spirits high when stress levels are just as high.
Preference – time to seal the deal!
Quiet time – “.. and the quiet times when we plan and dream ..”
Rotation – practice, practice, practice.
Skits – showing off the chapter personality.
T-shirts – everyone loves a new look and a fresh T!
Utilizing – your resources!
Volunteers – make sure to say thank you.
Water – hydrate.
Xhilaration – enjoy the xcitement.
You, you, you – “So come be a Sigma, Sigma Kappa ..”
ZzZzzzZZzZz – make sure to get enough.
Until next time,
