I recently got to visit Washington D.C. for the first time in years and it was love at first sight. Washington D.C. has so many wonderful things to offer from majestic historical American buildings, delicious food, and of course great photo ops! Kira, another Sigma Kappa consultant, and I got to explore the notable city. Our feet hated us from all of the walking, but we got to experience our nation’s capital over Easter weekend. Of course we toured the main attractions- the Capitol, Supreme Court, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, etc. which was extraordinary to see. One unique thing we got to do was attend an Easter Sunrise Service at the Lincoln Memorial. It was worth getting up at 5 a.m. to be able to watch the sunrise come over the Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol. The D.C. area is an amazing place and one that every American needs to explore at least once.
